It’s that time of year! Cozy sweaters, fireplaces and a big mug of something warm make for the perfect evening.
We recently stumbled upon recipe creator, Georgina Young of Greens of the Stone Age, who creates incredibly delicious CBD infused recipes! Last week, we tried out her Sleepy Time CBD Tea (recipe can be found HERE) and this week we couldn’t wait to try the Peanut Butter CBD Hot Chocolate. How amazing does that sound?!
If you have yet to incorporate CBD into your daily life, you have been missing out! CBD is one of the many cannabinoids produced by the cannabis plant, but unlike THC, it is non-psychoactive. This is important to note because it broadens the ways in which we can utilize CBD by not needing to worry about if we will feel “high” or not.
CBD has been proven to be an effective treatment option for anxiety, stress, depression, inflammation and pain. Without the worry of intoxicating effects, you are able to medicate throughout the day, which is often when many of our ailments flair up.
There are three ways for CBD to enter your body- gastrointestinal uptake, oral uptake, or a hybrid of the two. When we consume an infused beverage, we are allowing CBD into our system through a hybrid uptake method. Infused drinks or certain edibles, like chocolate bars, are designed to be absorbed in both the mouth and the stomach, making them fast-acting and long lasting.
If you are looking for a drink to help you relax, reduce your anxiety, ease pain or take the edge off from a busy day, this Peanut Butter CBD Hot Chocolate could be your saving grace.
